Obama up by 2, Hagan trouncing Dole in new PPP poll

The latest Public Policy Polling poll has Barack Obama over John McCain 47-45 — his first lead in the race.
Meanwhile, Kay Hagan appears to be increasing her lead over Elizabeth Dole 46-38.

Update: I missed a previous poll (which is dumb because I get Rasmussen via email every durn day), which had Obama up as well. h/t to alert reader RTB.
Barr’s three-percent is looking like a serious factor in a close NC race.
He’s got a lot of support in those western mountain counties, which are closer to Georgia than Alaska is to Putin’s rearing head. Or something.
