Drop by drop upon the heart

One of the most difficult years of my youth and for this country was 1968.
We lost Marting Luther King and Robert Kennedy and the Vietnam war ground on toward no end. It was a brutal year to be 9.
There is one stunning moment that I recall, a moment at the height of despair that showed that there might be another way. It was RFK’s remarks to a crowd gathered at a campaign rally in Indianapolis. The poem he quotes is carved into his gravestone.
