I have met the excellent folks over at the &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.ncejn.org&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;NCEJN&lt;/a&gt; who do a lot of grassroots work on this issue. Some of the people who are part of this network are small farmers who want to get away from the factory approach, but may not have the funding/expertise. Starting and publicizing local meat BBQ parties could get at least some money into their coffers. 

Hmm, maybe I will flesh this plan out over the next couple of weeks!</description>
