Top Ten Strangest NC Political Stories
I’ve already picked my Top Ten Strangest North Carolina Political Stories of the Year, but you’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out who and what made the list.
Until then, knowing I missed a bunch of weirdness, I’d like to hear what you think.
So, in your own words, what was the strangest, freakiest, funkiest, Outer Limits moments in NC Politics circa 2006?

Larry Leake at the SBOE hearing on RLM. His quote to the Pilot where he smiled and said he could have made up his mind in five minutes will come back to haunt us all . . . but especially him. It’ll be the point of the spear for Morgan’s appeal, and seems sufficient on its face to call the Board’s actions into question.
Plus it was just plain stupid.
And of course, the emergence of BlueNC on the political scene! The legislature will be blogged . . . and they will not like it one bit.
